Verdello is a minor white grape variety native to Italy where it grows in Tuscany, Umbria to a limited extent in Lazio, usually as part of a blend (pure Verdello wines are rare).
Wines: Tuscany: Bianco di Pitigliano DOC. Umbria: Colli Amerini DOC. | Colli del Trasimeno DOC. | Orvieto DOC. | Torgiano Bianco DOC.
Viticulture: Medium sized bunches and berries. Abundant and dependable productivity; good disease resistance. It is a late ripener.
Wine style: High natural acidity. Aromas and !avours of green apple, ripe pear, citrus, white !owers. It is always simple and fresh, but with an interesting character.
