Vineyards: Corvina, Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta are grown.
White wines
Soave DOC: 2007 90% Garganega, 10% Trebbiano.
Soave DOC, Campo Le Calle:
Red wines
Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Campo Leon: 2013 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Croatina and Oseleta. 16% alcohol. A very primary nose to this, sappy youthful almost red-appley fruit. Douro-like Portiness dominates the palate. French and America oak. Very much in my view a wine made to a previously agreed blueprint, nothing wrong with that if the blueprint floats your boat. In this case it lacks originality and coherence (tasted blind for Decanter in London 17 Jan 2019).
Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Riserva, Due Mori: 2011 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, 10% Croatina and other grapes. 16% alc. Evident concentration. A little bit unsubtle, but still appealing in terms of its acidity. If you like a wild-fruited Amarone with depth and what appears to be an old vine core this is for you (tasted blind for Decanter in London 17 Jan 2019).
