Pratesi is an estate winery in Carmignano in Prato province, Alto Tuscany, Tuscany. It makes red wines under the Carmignano DOCG.

Background: The Pratesi family has been producing wine in Carmignano for five generations. In 1875 Pietro Pratesi bought the Lolocco property in the heart of Carmignano where they produced wine and olive oil. Lolocco is where the Pratesi has its highest density vineyards.

Red wines

Carmignano DOCG: 1999 Bottled. | 2000 Bottled. | 2001 70% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot. Blended after 16 months in barrel. Very dark colour; lots of hard oak has made the fruit bitter, extracted style, not bad, but too Parkerised for me at Barco Reale restaurant on Monday 7th March 2005.

Lococco: 1997 Produced.

Locorosso Rosso: 2000 Debut. 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot.
