Enrico Santini is an organic producer in his native Bolgheri in Castagneto Carducci in Livorno province on the Tuscan coast of Italy. He founded the estate in 1998. His previous career was comprised 15 years working for a supermarket (he left in 1995). He then worked in his friend Michele Satta’s winery for three years before founding his own estate – with no winery, no vineyards, and no tools. He borrowed the money to get doing and planted his first vineyard in 1998. He made a winery in the garage and basement of his home. 2000 was his first year of production. Attilio Pagli has consulted here.
