History: Founded in 1864 by the Sedoux family, makers of Gratien & Meyer Saumur. In September 2000 Henkell & Söhnlein of Wiesbaden, Germany acquired the qualified majority of Gratien & Meyer Holding SA in Saumur from Alain Seydoux, which brings with it Champagne Alfred Gratien.
Staff: Winemaker (2008): Nicolas Jaeger.
