Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG dates from 2005 and is the first DOCG on the Italian region of Sicily having been granted DOC status in 1973. It is a red wine from the Ragusa area in the southern part of the Italian island. The wine, a red, is made from 50-70% Nero d’Avola and 30-50% Frappato.

Terroir: The zone lies in south east Sicily in the hills inland from the coast between Ragusa and Gela across the provinces of Ragusa (RG), Caltagirone (CL) and Caltanissetta (CT).
