Castello della Sala is located in Localita Sala in Ficulle in Terni Province in the Umbria region of central Italy, about 40 km southwest of Perugia on the border with Tuscany. The estate had 29 farms (or poderi) and 1,360 acres of woods and cultivated land when it was acquired under Niccolò Antinori who targeted it for white wines.
