Weissburgunder (Pinot blanc) is said to have arrived in Austria in the early 1800s, possibly from Moravia (MacDonogh: 1992, p.35).
Synonyms: Weisser Burgunder, Weisser Klevner, Pinot Blanc.
Where grown: Pinot Blanc is grown in almost all Austrian regions with the exception of Wachau (MacDonogh: 1992, p.35).
