Wanaka is a resort town in the Otago region on the South Island of New Zealand which gives its name to the Wanaka wine region, and is set on the southern end of Wanaka lake. It has views of and is the gateway to the Southern Alps’ Mount Aspiring National Park, a wilderness of glaciers, beech forests and alpine lakes.
