Red wines

Rosso di Montalcino DOC:

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG: 2009 L13/B09. 15%. Very ripe nose: broad, not overtly aromatic but rather rich and flat and warm, like a hot plate of raspberry vanilla cranberry fool. Sweet entry, and sweet middle too with ripe redcurrant and blackberry sweetness leading to a well-handled finish in which the new oak comes into play. Well made but not sure if I get a sense of terroir here? at the Consorzio Tues 27th May 2014 with Ian d’Agata and others.
