Cantina Velenosi winery is located in Ascoli Piceno commune in the province of the same name in Le Marche, a region on Italy’s Adriatic coast. Cantina Velenosi was established in 1984 by Ercole and Angela Velenosi, with Paolo Garbini from 2005. The company makes red wine under the Rosso Piceno DOC.

Vineyards: 150ha of vines. At 200-300 metres. New the river Tronto. Clay-limestone soils. Vineyards in Castorano, Monsampolo and Castel di Lama in Ascoli Piceno, plus others in San Marcello in Ancona  province. Across the border in the Abruzzo region to the south there are vines in Ancarano.

Rosso Piceno DOC Superiore, Roggio del Filare: 2015 70% Montepulciano, 30% Sangiovese. 14.5% alc. 3,2g/l residual sugar. Fermented in stainless steel. 18 months in new barrels.
