Valle del Calore is a valley of the Lucanian Sub-Apennines in Campania, including the basin of the Calore Lucano river in the geographical district of Cilento. It must not be confused with the homonymous valley of the Campania Apennines including the Calore Irpino basin, a different river also located in Campania but at more northern latitudes, in the geographical district of Irpinia (aka Avellino province). Not to be confused with the Calore Irpino (Calore Beneventano or Calore) river.

Calore Irpino (Calore Beneventano or Calore) river: The Calore Irpino or Calore Beneventano or Calore River is a river in Benevento province in the Campania region of Italy. It rises from the Monte Cervialto, elevation 1,809 metres above sea level, in the Monti Picentini sub-range of the Apennine Mountains. Not to be confused with the Valle del Calore.
