Trockenbeerenauslese is the fifth quality category in the Pradikat system in Germany and literally means ‘selected dried grapes’. The grapes will be affected by Botrytis and the wines will have a minimum must weight of 150–154° Oechsle. The wines will normally be extremely rich, luscious and sweet and will have great ageing potential.
