Torre Prima is an estate winery in Località Cortennano in the San Gimignano region of Tuscany in Italy. Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG white wines are produced.

Background: The farm featured on land registry documents dated 1823. Some sources indicate the presence of Duke Amedeo d’Aosta hunting at Torre Prima in 1867. In 1970 the Pollina family left their native Sicily and bought what was then a ruined farm. More land was added in 1996.

Estate vineyards: 50ha of vines of which 12ha are Vernaccia.

White wines

Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, Torre Prima: 2011 Hand picked. No skin contact. Bit of acetaldehyde or marzipan (Anteprima 17 Feb 2013). | 2012 Hand picked. Nice open textured fruit, exotic, cool ferment (Anteprima 17 Feb 2013).
