Sassetta is a commune in the south of the Province of Livorno in the Italian region of Tuscany, located about 90 kms (56 miles) southwest of Florence (Firenze) and about 50 kms (31 miles southeast of Livorno, bordering the provinces of Grosseto and Pisa. Sassetta falls within the Val di Cornia DOC and is is bordered by the following municipalities: Castagneto Carducci, Monteverdi Marittimo and Suvereto. Tourism: Sassetta falls within the Costa degli Etruschi.
