Podere L’Aja is an organic winery is located in Radda-in-Chianti in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany, Italy.

Vineyards: 12ha. From three poderi in Radda called Spanda, L’Aia and Chielle. Morcellated plots at around around 500 metres. Mainly on alberese and galestro.

Organic certification: 2020 First vintage with full organic certification.

Red wines

Chianti Classico DOCG, Chielle: 2016 100% Sangiovese. 20 year-old vines. Vat sample. Lovely wild ripe fruit, vg weight and intensity (2019 anteprima).

Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva: 2015 90% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot. 24m in botti. Lovely weight and intensity (2019 anteprima).

Quercia Rossa | 85% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot.

Toscana Rosso, L’Ingegnere | 2015 80% Sangiovese, 20% Merlot.

Extra virgin olive oil

From around 1,000 olive trees. 450 metres.
