Podere Allocco is an estate winery in Tuscany producing Carmignano DOCG red wines plus a Rosato di Carmignano DOC rosé.
Owner: Emilio Mannelli. He bought the estate in 1992 from the Lastraioli family, who had owned it from the 1850s. Mannelli has a clothes-making business in Prato. There were no vines when he bought the farm, and vineyards were added apparently to provide wine to be used as gifts for his business clients. In the mid-2000s the oenologist was Giuseppe Cianchi-Baldazzi.
White wines
Toscano Bianco: 100% Trebbiano.
Toscano Bianco, Bacon: Mostly Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Fermented in French oak.
Pink wines
