Perdriel is a district in Luján de Cuyo in the Mendoza region of Argentina. It lies 13 miles (20 kms) south of of Mendoza city at the foot of the Andes Mountains. Perdriel takes its name from Gregorio Ignacio Perdriel (1785–1832), an Argentine military man who participated in the fight against the English invasions and in Argentina’s war of independence 1810–1818. He was governor of the Provinces of Cuyo between 1815 and 1816.
