Pedro Marchevsky graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Oenology in his native Argentina. He joined Catena in 1972 from the University of Cuyo in Mendoza, where he was a professor of agronomy, specialising in irrigation and drainage. His scientific research has led to significant innovations in irrigation and canopy management. Marchevsky has also been instrumental in matching grape varieties to appropriate microclimates by soil analysis, rootstock and clonal selection.
