Offida Pecorino DOCG is the flagship wine of the Offida DOCG in the Le Marche region of Italy. It is made from 85–100% Pecorino grapes and 0–55% other non-aromatic, white-grape vine varieties, recommended and/or authorized for the province of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo. Pecorino was rediscovered only in recent years. It has a high sugar content that raises its alcohol content, always above 13°, a full body and a noticeable sense of acidity. The result is a surprisingly persistent, powerful and pleasantly sapid wine.
