Ockfener Bockstein is a named site (einzellage) in Ockfen in the Saar region of Germany, the first of the Saar’s noble vineyards (as the river flows north-east), renowned for its Riesling. It is described by Stuart Pigott (1995, p.36) as ‘a magnificent amphitheatre of vines, with forest above and the village of Ockfen at its foot, one of the most beautiful sites on the Saar.’
