The Novese is an historical-cultural area of Lower Piedmont in Italy, located in the south-eastern portion of Alessandria province. It borders with Liguria (province of Genoa) to the south and Emilia-Romagna (province of Piacenza) to the southeast, and does not correspond to any administrative structure. It takes its name from the city of Novi Ligure, the centre around which the area gravitates.
