Moscato di Sorso-Sennori or Moscato di Sorso or Moscato di Sennori DOC is a white wine made from 90-100% Moscato Bianco plus 0-10% other authorised white grapes from the Italian island of Sardegna (‘Sardinia’). The DOC was awarded in 1972.
Production zone: The wine comes from ‘low, coastal hills’ in the townships (‘comuni’) of Sorso and Sennori in Sassari province in north-western Sardegna.’ Sassari’s traditional sweet Moscato is honey-coloured. It can be fortified (‘liquoroso dolce’)’ (Burton Anderson: 1990, p.292).
