Montaperti is a village located about 7.4 miles (12 km) from Siena and 5 miles (8 km) from Castelnuovo Berardenga in Siena province, Tuscany, central Italy. Administratively it is a frazione of the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga in the Chianti Classico DOCG region. Montaperti was the site of a famous battle in 1260.
