Le Colture | Winery in the commune of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene in he Prosecco hills. Le Colture produces Valdobbiadene DOCG, and Valdobbiadene DOCG Spumante Superiore di Cartizze Prosecco sparkling wines. A still Colli Trevigiani red wine is also made.

Background: Le Colture has grown wines in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene since the 1500s, under the guidance of the same family. In 1983, Cesare Ruggeri launched its entry into the field of sparkling wines. Cesare’s three children, Silvia, Alberto, and Veronica, work for the estate.

Vineyards | 40ha of vines. These are located partly near the winery, but also acorss 16 farm properties in the Valdobbiadene and Conegliano areas, and in Montello.

Sparkling wines

Valdobbiadene DOCG Frizzante, Mas | A semi-sparkling wine. Crown cap (with twine). Picked around mid-September. Gentle pressing of the grapes. Fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature. Second fermentation in steel vats. 11% alc. 10g/l residual sugar.

Valdobbiadene DOCG Spumante Dry, Dry Cruner | Made from Glera grapes grown in Valdobbiadene-area vineyards that are renowned for the combination of a milder weather conditions and sandstone-clay soils, which create a richer concentration of aromas and flavours, as well as the possibility of giving the sparkling wine a touch of sweetness and creamy texture without harming its vibrant crispness. 11% alc. Residual sugar: 18 g/l. Bottle pressure: 4.5 atm.

Valdobbiadene DOCG Spumante Superiore di Cartizze | See Cartizze. 11% alc. Residual sugar: 23 g/l. Bottle pressure 4.5 atm.

Valdobbiadene DOCG Spumante Extra Dry, Extra Dry Pianer | Harvesting from mid-September until mid-October. Vinification: a soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation of the must at a controlled temperature; the removal of the accumulated foam is followed by a second fermentation in steel vats with the Charmat method at a controlled temperature. Bottle pressure: 4,5 atm. Residual sugar 14 g/l. Alc.11% vol.

Valdobbiadene DOCG Spumante Brut, Brut Fagher | The estate says this is their ‘most modern Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. sparkling wine and it has achieved considerable international success in the years. 11.5% vol. Residual sugar: 9 g/l. Bottle pressure: 4.5 atm.
