Lambrusco Martani is a member of the Lambrusco family. It is notable for its fairly high acidity. It is less tannic and fleshy than Lambrusco Maestri. It can be refined and is the mainstay of the Reggiano DOC Lambrusco.
Vineyard area: Decreasing as producers are replanting with the fuller bodied Lambrusco Maestri.
Wine style: Fruity. Juicy black currant and red cherry. Fairly high in acidity. Violet, iris and peony nuances.
