Podere La Cerreta is a Demeter-certified Biodynamic winery in the Alta Maremma (northern Tyrrhenian coast), Tuscany, Italy.

Owners: Daniele and Vilma Mazzanti since 1987.

Vineyards: In the Alta Maremma, 9 miles (15km) from the Mediterranean. | 1999 In 1999 31 hectares (76 acres) of land in total. Around 8 hectares (20 acres) of vines: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, and Vermentino were planted. | 2003 In 2003 2 hectares (4.9 acres) of white grapes were added. Also 4 hectares (9.9 acres) of olives for oil. Interesting terroir because this is where the sea and the land meet, in the sense that both pines and chestnut trees grow on the estate. Also cows, fruit, chestnuts, cereals, pigs, horses and bees.

Certification: 1987 Daniele and Vilma Mazzanti immediately convert to organic practices having acquired the estate. | 2004 First vintage with organic certification. | 2007 First vintage with full Demeter Biodynamic certification. | 2017 Still Demeter-certified Biodynamic.

IGT Toscana Rosso, Solatìo della Cerreta | 2015 80% Sangiovese, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Barsaglina, 3% Foglia Tonda, 3% Colorino, 3% Merlot. / 2015 Eggy, bretty at the Demeter Austria tasting 2018.

MAREMMA Toscana Rosso, Tinto Alicante | 2011 90% Alicante (Grenache Noir), plus Sangiovese. Simple: black fruit & vanilla oak when tasted in Torrenieri, 01 February 2014.

Rosso Solatìo della Cerreta: Sangiovese, Foglia Tonda, Cabernet Sauvignon, Colorino, Merlot, Barsaglina.
