Giaconda is an estate in the Beechworth region in the Australian state of Victoria. It was founded by Rick Kinzbrunner. Kinzbrunner has a joint-venture with Michel Chapoutier producing a Shiraz called ‘Ergo Sum’.
Sales: In 2000 Kinzbrunner started selling his wine on-ine and by tender whereby people name the price they are prepared to pay with the highest bids in most cases getting the wines, although other factors, such as past buying history also played a part. This initiative followed the tiny, frost-affected 1999 crop. Source: Harpers Wine & Spirit Weekly 13 October 2000, p.9.
