Local religious buildings include the 14th-century Sanctuary of the Madonna di Pancole and the Parish church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cellole dating from around 1,000 AD. In the 1950s the area attracted an influx of farmer-winegowers from Le Marche (eg. Cesani).
