Francavidda is a white grape variety native to Italy.

Where grown: In Puglia (Apulia) it is also known as Francavilla, after the small town near Brindisi that gives this variety its name (the town’s name is actually Francavilla Fontana). Today it is grown mainly around the town of Brindisi, and it is usually blended with another rare local variety called Impigno in the Ostuni Bianco DOC.

Viticulture: Medium-large bunches, with medium berries. Vigourous; abundant and dependable productivity. It is too sensitive to cold weather in general, as well as to diseases.
