Forstmeister Geltz Zilliken is a winery in suburban Saarburg in the Saar region of Germany, the family estate of the Master Forester (‘Forstmeister’) of the King of Prussia, Ferdinand Geltz. Now run by Hans-Joachim Zilliken (the founder’s great-grandson) and his daughter Dorothee. Beneath the house (which was re-built after being destroyed in the last months of World War Two) is a three-storey vaulted cellar dating from the 1920s. The lowest level is 9 metres below ground. The walls have stalagmites and stalactites.
