Dürnstein is a pretty town in the Wachau region of Austria, much visited by tourists. Schloss Dürnstein was where Richard the Lionheart was incarcerated and is now a Relais & Chateaux. It overlooks a monastery and its baroque tower painted a shade of Cambridge blue.
