Demeter e.V. is the body authorised to carry out Biodynamic certification to the Demeter International standard in Germany. It was founded in Germany in 1924 in the wake of Rudolf Steiner’s Agriculture Course on Biodynamics. It is the oldest organic farming association in Germany and is based in Darmstadt, a city near Frankfurt in the southwest of the country.
