Chiusi is a commune in the south-south east part of Siena province, Tuscany and on the latters’ border with the Umbria region. Chiusi was among the most important cities of the Etruscan empire between the 7th and 5th centuries BC. The lowlands around Chiusi house numerous tombs for this civilization. The Etruscan Museum of Chiusi is one of the most important repositories of Etruscan remains in Italy.
