Château Richotey is located in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac in the Fronsadais on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Red wines are made under the Fronsac AOC from vineyards right on the border with the Canon-Fronsac AOC.

Owner: Yves Pontallier. In his family since 1829. His grandfather died, aged 32, at Douaumont, aged 32. The estate passed through three female generations of the family. 

Vineyards: 10ha. Sandy, well-drained, over a tertiary era limestone base.
