Background: The Mazeris Bellevue estate was created in 1840 by Jacques Bussier by bringing together various parts of the old Mazeris tenement, renowned for the production of delicate wines. The Château dates from 1848. After the phylloxera Jacques Bussier’s grandfather reconstituted the vineyard and in 1889 it obtained the Great Gold Medal (Grande Medaille d’Or) from the Minister of Agriculture. Château Mazeris Bellevue was already mentioned as “Premier Côtes Fronsac” in the Cocks and Feret editions of 1922 and 1929. For six generations, numerous medals have rewarded the wines of the property. On July 18, 2017 the latest Jacques Bussier sold the estate. The new owners have four children: Axel (the eldest son and winegrower), Adrien, Louise and Emma.
Vineyards: In St Michel de Fronsac, on the edge of the limestone plateau (plateau and côte)
