Château Mausse is located in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac in the Fronsadais on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Red wines are made under the Canon-Fronsac AOC.

Owner: Ets Guy Janoueix et Fils since 1975. Previous owners were the Lanore, Danglade, Grimaud, Horrière, Cléon and Sevalle families. See the kink above Ets Guy Janoueix’s other estates in Bordeaux.

Vineyards: 10ha (60,000 bottles). 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc. Some of the highest vineyards in Fronsac (60 metres plus). On the western border of Fronsac commune, on clay-limestone slopes, ‘a good cru on the limestone plateau north-west of Saint-Michel de Fronsac,’ (David Peppercorn MW (1991, p.559).  

Winemaking: Ageing in barrel and cement tanks.
