Certaldo is a town and commune in the Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany. It lies in the middle of the Elsa valley (Valdelsa). It is about 22 miles (35 kms) southwest of the Florence Duomo. Red wines can be made under the Chianti DOCG.
