Cellerina is a red grape variety native to Italy.
Where grown: In Piemonte today Cellerina is sporadically present in the Tortonese, Ovadese, and Astigiano areas on both sides of the Tanaro River. It is used mainly in blends to make air-dried or late-harvest sweet wines for local consumption.
Viticulture: Medium sized very sparse bunches, with medium berries. Average vigour; medium-high but irregular productivity. It is resistant to Botrytis cinerea (grey rot).
