Cantina Castelvecchi is an estate in Radda-in-Chianti in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany, Italy. Castelvecchi–or Cantina Castelvecchi aka Fattoria Premiata Castelvecchi in Chianti–can trace its origins to 1043.
Owner: The Paladin family of Bosco del Merlo in the Veneto region bought the estate in 2004. The then owners sold their grapes rather than make wine from them, so a winery was constructed. The vineyards possessed some old vines (mid-1950s) but were in need of renovation.
Vineyards: 2017 24ha (80,000 bottles). Soil: ‘galestro‘.
