Castello di San Donato in Perano is a winery in Perano in the eastern sector of the township (‘comune’) of Gaiole-in-Chianti in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany, Italy. It went bankrupt in 2014, and was subsequently administered and then bought (in 2017) by Marchese Frescobaldi srl (Frescobaldi) who renamed it Tenuta Perano which see.
IGT Toscana Rosso, Cabernet | 2001 Light colour, quite evolved smell, very green, light and unripe at the winery in 2005.
IGT Toscana Rosso, Pinot Nero | 2001 2,000 bottles. Seems to have a bit of Cabernet in this as very tannic and quite a bit of black fruit at the winery in 2005.
