Castel del Monte DOC, hilly, arid and well ventilated region in Puglia for wines of all three colours. The red wines are based on the Nero di Troia grape with Bombino Nero also allowed. The DOC dates from 1971. It is located in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani and includes the territory of the municipality of Minervino Murge and, in part, the territory of the municipalities of Andria, Canosa di Puglia and Trani.
