Azienda Agricola Casanova di Bricciano is a winery in Gaiole-in-Chianti in the Chianti Classico DOCG region of Tuscany, Italy. It should not be confused with a similarly named nearby estate, La Casa di Bricciano. Only a small amount of wine is made, with 80% of the grapes being sold (I was told, Chianti Classico Anteprima 2019). The first vintage the estate bottled was 2013.

Vineyards: 2019 7.5ha. 450-550 metres. On galestro and scheletro. South-east facing. Surrounded by woodland. Main rootstocks: 110 Richter and 1103 Paulsen.

Red wines

Chianti Classico DOCG, Casanova: 2016 100% Sangiovese. Fermented in stainless steel. 10m in botti. Crisp and easy (Anteprima 2019). | 2018 100% Sangiovese.

Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva: 2016 100% Sangiovese. 18m in wood. Lighter style but beneath my sense is this estate has a potentially good terroir (Anteprima 2019).

Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione: 2014 100% Sangiovese.
