Carneros or Los Carneros AVA is American Viticultural Area in both Sonoma and Napa counties and within the North Coast AVA in the state of California. It is described as a fashionable little region skirting the Southern bounderies of Napa and Sonoma says Patrick Matthews in Real Wine, (Mitchell Beazley: 2000) p.21).
