Bargino is a ‘frazione’ or territorial subdivision of the municipality of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, lying as its name suggests on the Pesa river. Centuries-old cypress dominate the crossroads in the town centre. The Bargino and its hills are part of the Chianti Classico DOCG territory. From 2012 it has hosted the Antinori winery, in the hill south of the town and the new headquarters of the Marchesi Antinori.
