Acqualagna is a commune near Urbino in Pesaro e Urbino province in Le Marche, a region central Italy’s Adriatic coast, located about 45 miles (70km) west of the Adriatic port city of Ancona and about 25 miles (40km) southwest of Pesaro.
Burton Anderson (1990) say Aqualagna hosts ‘the busiest autumn white truffle market outside of Alba in Piemonte.’
