Anjou-Villages AOC is a red wine only appellation created for the 1986 vintage onwards, as a superior version of Anjou Rouge AOC. The wine is made from Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in 46 communes (listed below) south of the Loire river, in the Aubance and Layon valleys in the Anjou region of France’s Loire valley.
