Amalaya is an estate located in the town of Cafayate, Salta province, in northwest Argentina. It was founded by Donald Hess in 2010, and was originally the name he gave to an entry-level wine of another of his Argentine estates, Bodega Colomé. 

The name: Amalaya means (hope for a miracle).

Vineyards: At around 1,800m asl.
