Winbirri is a winery in Surlingham in South Norfolk, in East Anglia in eastern England, United Kingdom. The Winbirri name derives from an Anglo-Saxon term ‘win’ meaning wine and ‘birri’ meaning grape. The wines are estate bottled.
Owner: Founded by Stephen Dyer, a fruit farmer, in 2007.
Terroir: On the edge of the Norfolk Broads National Park. Light sandy loam over clay with a high flint content.
Vineyards: 10ha across three vineyards, Bacchus (the main variety), Pinot noir, Rondo. Seyval Blanc and Solaris.
