Waiheke Island is a sub-region of Auckland in the Hauraki Gulf on the north island of New Zealand. It is a 40-minute ferry ride from downtown. The picturesque island is home to renowned restaurants, boutique shopping, art galleries, spas, and small beach towns.
Terroir: The warm, dry maritime climate initially encouraged the planting of both Cabernets. More recently Syrah, Chardonnay, Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, Viognier and Pinot Gris have been planted.
